Women in Engineering Curtin Division is a Curtin Guild Club founded in 2011, with the intention of supporting and uplifting women within the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics field which are typically male dominated. The club has over 100 members most of which are in the Science and Engineering Faculty, however any student at Curtin University is invited to join. The 2022 Women in Engineering leadership team has accepted the responsibility of leading the club with the vision of expanding its reach beyond solely female Engineering students. An emphasis on diversity and inclusion aids to create a more welcoming environment for both work and study. Throughout the course of the year, events are held for students to engage and develop their technical, study and networking skills as well as to allow for immersion in industry.
